2025 General Elections

I coordinated the direction of communication for the 2025 election process for members, with one ground rule, that official communication took no sides. I produced the notice for the July 30 Extraordinary General Meeting, which approved hybrid electronic voting, the election notice and the guidance article in issue 321, covering who votes, proxies, registration and how voting works. I followed the candidates' photo sessions and the election metrics. On October 19, we covered the vote count in real time so that members could follow the whole count, and afterwards I wrote the article on the new Board taking office in issue 325. Each piece was aligned with the board, the management, the superintendent's office and the legal department.

Institutional and governance communication, change communication, clarity on the rules, neutrality in a sensitive period, joint work with the legal department and senior management and real-time coverage.

The election had 6,304 voters, a Club voting record, with hybrid voting for the first time in the institution's history, online, through the Eleja Online platform, or in person, at four venues. Three slates ran, and the winning slate received 2,605 votes, 43.18% of the valid votes. The record belongs to the election process; communication's part was to bring rules, deadlines and the new voting format, clearly, to more than 30,000 members.

Curitibano members had always voted in person. In 2025, in the election the president-elect called the most contested in the Club's history, voting became hybrid. Communication had to explain the change transparently and step by step, from the meeting that approved it to the day of the count, and keep the same distance from the three slates in every piece. In a contested year, we also answered questions and rumors with official clarifications, always validated with the board and the legal department. The experience shows the communicator I am in a sensitive period, precise on the rules, neutral between the sides and calm under pressure, because members' trust in the process depended on it.
